"A painter tries to convey to us a picture of the world as he sees it." -Victor E. Frankl from Man's Search For Meaning

For me, painting is a journey without a final destination, a series of goals to be achieved in turn, or concurrently. I revel in the sensation of
pigment applied to the canvas, and thrill to the nascent expectation in the emergence of an image that conveys some singular moment, emotion or idea to the viewer. I find painting to be an expression, a communication, and an
exploration. I strive to try, to learn, to keep growing.

Every painting is an attempt to share what I see, and when I paint, my fuzzy ideas become a little more clear. Generous instructors have shared their knowledge and fellow students and friends have helped me with their insights; I have learned so much from all of them. When a painting seems successful, I think I hear an answer to this question: "Did you see that?"
